Can I just say how much love
Google News alerts? If only because
this is what came up in the daily news digest email today. Something that I wouldn't have found on my own since I don't check British news sites all that often... well, other than
BBC News, but that's usually only when I want to read news that isn't the usual U.S.-biased fare I get sometimes from CNN.
ANYWAY. I am rambling for I cannot contain the gleeish excitement I felt upon reading the following paragraph:
And soon the Tennant effect will no longer be confined to Stratford-upon-Avon. The production moves to the Novello Theatre in London in December and, according to Gregory Doran, director of the Tennant Hamlet, there’s a possibility that the production will then move to New York.
Uhhh... WHAT?!?!?!
Never was I as grateful to have moved to the East Coast as I was when I first read that line. I mean, seriously. New York is only a "short" four hour drive from Boston. And I am perfectly willing, and perhaps even eager, to make the journey, if it means the chance to see David Tennant as Hamlet. And let's not forget Patrick Stewart (!) as Claudius, for I am, and always shall remain, a Trekkie at heart.
