Summary: In the wee, small hours of the morning...

She wakes up to his soft breathing next to her ear. A moment of disorientation, then memory returns.

Gently moving the arm lying across her waist, she gets out of bed and tugs on a robe. His sleeping face captures her attention, bringing a smile to her lips. She reaches out and slowly brushes the tousled hair from his forehead. He looks younger in repose; with his eyes closed, the glimpse of his timeworn soul remains hidden.

She turns away from the bed, stopping as his hand catches hers.

"Stay."

An echo of times past, memories of promised forever.

"Okay."
